Overall boot up time is cut in half because I no longer need to log into MS Networking which slowed down the Win98SE. Shut down is also much faster. My PC used to hang on shutdown with Win98SE -sometimes taking two minutes. With WinXP it shuts down in seconds. I am pleased with the upgrade.
